Welcome to the online home for Off 6, the newest, coolest coffee house series in the burbs of Houston!

We kicked off the monthly series on September 13, 2016 and word is quickly spreading. Every month there will be student and senior discounts, food and drink specials, and door prizes for people brave enough to sign up for open mic spots.

So bring your words and songs and stories to share with a diverse and enthusiastic audience the second Tuesday of every month @ 7pm.

We’ll be at Off the Vine Bistro (2865 Dulles Avenue in the Pecan Plaza) – just off Texas 6 between Sugar Land and Sienna Plantation.

When author and community organizer Danielle Metcalfe-Chenail moved to Sienna Plantation in January 2016, she was keen to connect to the local arts community. Only problem was, it seemed like all the events were in downtown Houston!

Growing up and living in small towns and suburbs across North America, Danielle found open mics, coffee houses, and casual arts events key to sharing her words and gaining confidence as a performer and writer. So when she couldn’t find anything in Fort Bend, she decided to start one of her own – and invite everyone to join in.

As luck would have it, it was at that moment she heard of Off the Vine Bistro and met its wonderful owner, Namita, who was just as keen on the idea.

Now they are bringing together words, music, friends and food through Off 6, a monthly coffee house series sure to be just like the bistro that hosts it: Pure. Fresh. Local!
